Nino Tanzini, born in Redford Michigan, March 25, 1977. Nino lives true to the Aries motto “I am me - You’re not”. Being a dreamer with a short attention span school came rough for him. In his eyes he knew where he was headed and it was just a road block in his way. No honors there but a grad in 1995. Nino also holds a 2 year degree in Auto C.A.D (computer aided design). His father tought him at an early age how to swing a hammer and read a blue print. By 8 years old he was taking vacations from school and working on his dad's crew. Learning through his hands came natural for him. As well as the ability to see something and channel it into reality. By 16 he was running his fathers crews and had two homes built from the ground up under his belt. At 18 Nino’s artistic urges lead him to starting his own hardwood flooring company. This lead to being able to express his own designs and craftsmanship through borders and medallions. Looking up to elders in the business he strived on getting to their level. By 25 he was doing builders shows next to the people he looked up to. Celebrating a decade in business his company is still running to date. At 27, feeling like his creative well had run dry in the wood industry, as a hobby he set his sites on metal fabrication and building custom jeeps. Gaining the help of some old-timers, he learned a lot - and fast. Looking again up to icons, he began to master such tools as the English wheel and panishing hammer. With the “chopper” craze taking the world by storm this gave opportunity once again to put his ideas and designs in a cut throat industry. Still known as a young gun or 'newbie' to chopper world, Chopzini Customs is beginning to gain recognition. The company has held its own and fit in next to legendary builders at shows throughout the U.S. in its short existence. Future plans consist of in housing most parts like custom wheels, triple trees and signature frames. Nino credits much of his success to the people he has looked up to over the years and the people that have backed him through thick and thin. A strong foundation, at an early age from his father has instilled long term goals. From an idea to his hands you'll find a talent with an unique kinda of boldness that you won't find anywhere else. |
